Wow, we can't believe our baby girl is 2 already! She had a full day on Thursday, and was worn out by the end!
Kate now has a super-cute kitchen set, loaned to her by her cousin Abigail (built by Uncle Brice), a new child-sized table to match, complete with wooden play food, stainless steel pots and pans, and of course a tea party set. The lucky girl also received some new clothes, art supplies, and shoes - she currently has quite the shoe obsession!
She started out spending the day at church with me where we had a picnic celebrating the 4th of July with chocolate chip cookie bars for dessert for her birthday. Then, we had a small 4th of July parade for the parents (see picture)... After that, we came home and had dinner with strawberry shortcake for dessert, opened presents, played just a little, and then crashed into bed.
On Friday, Grandmom and Grandpa R. came to visit... So we opened some more presents, played, shopped, and went out for lunch before saying goodbye.

Oh, what fun! I hope she has so much fun playing kitchen! Makes me kind of sad my little girl isn't so little any more. I LOVED that polk-a-dot dress! Abigail had her 2-year old pics taken in it.
Love the photos of Grandma and Grandpa R. with Kate and also the one of Kate reading her card. (Really I love them all but those two are my favorites.) Could you please email these two to me so that I can print them on photo paper. Soon there will be another little one. Can't wait -- keep us posted!
