Notes

If you were unaware, Leah was delivered the week after Thanksgiving. She was stillborn at 29 weeks, and it continues to be a rough road for Steph and Andy, to say the least.

It has been a busy month here, so far.

Kate had her first visit to see Santa Claus. She was brave because we told her she would get a candy cane. She sat on his lap and peered at the basket of candy canes beside her until he gave her one :) Then she hurried off.

She loves examining the Christmas tree and all the ornaments on it. She also loves Christmas lights and points out "Santa" and "Snowman" whenever she sees them. I am excited for Christmas with her this year because she is old enough to get excited about things.

Kate recognizes shapes and colors, and likes to name a couple letters and also count things -although she isn't always accurate :) Today, her favorite thing to do was pull a chair over to the kitchen sink and "wash dishes" with the scrub brush.

Sam had his 4 month checkup. He weighed 16 lb., 13 oz. He now laughs when you play peek-a-boo with him. It is super cute. Kate can finally say his name! For the longest time, she called him "Baby Sue"!

Also, over Thanksgiving, our brother-in-law, Brice, practiced his photography skillz on us :) Pictures to come soon. (My CD drive is busted so I have to wait until I can use Jared's computer.)
