We took our vacation earlier in the summer than usual this year since the baby is due in August. We spent a week at the lake with Jared's family. On the way there, the truck had some issues. Luckily, we were in a parking lot just an hour away from our destination, not on the side of the highway. So Jared's dad came to get us and we used our free AAA tow (thank God for that, never had to do that before!) and left our truck at a local mechanic's for the week. That part was a little scary because we didn't know the sketchy mechanic. We got it back and thankfully so far so good. All in all, it was a fun week. Jared got to do lots of fishing, Kate and I did lots of playing, the weather was great the majority of the time... Once again, I was horrible about remembering to have my camera with me for pictures, but here are a few...
Kate got her hair French-braided by Grandma on a rainy day.
Molly came to visit us on her time off from K-West. We went to pick her up by boat, it was just 2 minutes away! (This is her, getting ready to ski.)
Kate loved wearing her life jacket and going down to the dock to swim or ride in the boat!
