Party Time

Kate got to host her first birthday party where she invited her friends!  I am not into huge party prep, so I tried to keep it low-key.  Kate chose a bird theme (she has been into birds ever since learning about birds  at lunch bunch last spring), so we painted bird houses and had a treasure hunt for gummy worms and gave little (fake) birds that she wanted the guests to take home.  I found little birdhouse kits at Walmart that I hot glued together ahead of time.  The kits came with paint and sticker supplies.  It all worked surprisingly well.  Fun times!
