Birthday Boy!
Sam's "baby year" is over... he is becoming a toddler! He started pulling up to a standing position on his one year old birthday. Yikes. He is still just as cuddly and loving as ever, though. He has started to like to chew on his blanket for comfort, and is not particular about which one. We thought we had avoided the finger sucking (that we worked so hard to get Kate to quit when she turned two) by instead using a pacifier occasionally with Sam. But, apparently no. He has found the blanket to be comforting.
For his round #1 birthday party, we got together with Jared's side of the family for dessert. Shame on me for not getting a closeup picture of Sam with the grandparents!!

What cute pictures! Happy Birthday to Sam!
He looks so big now -- not a baby boy anymore! Glad to know he had a good birthday and that he will soon will be walking. Then you will need roller skates to keep up with him! Give him a great big kiss from Aunt Barbara. And . . . on a different note, thanks for the Costa Rica prayers. I could feel their presence! AMEN!
