Jared's sister, Stephanie, and her husband Andy got some really bad news yesterday at their 20 week sonogram. The baby hasn't developed a brain, fully, and will not survive much past birth. I don't feel like talking all about it, so if you want more and to stay updated, go to Steph's blog, Against the Grain (the link is also on my sidebar).
This is their first child, and I can't imagine... I'm not sure how to pray for them, but regardless, please be remembering them and all of Jared's family.

Oh Emily. I'm glad you shared. i did read Stephanie's blog. She is amazing. I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers. And you as well - that the Lord will speak to you on how to love them during this tough time.
Emily: Go to WWW.Pittsburgh Channel.com to read about one of our Pittsburgh newcasters who has the same thing with her baby. Her name is Kelly Frye and she is featured in the local newspaper with facts about her pregnancy and how she was told to abort the baby but has chosen not to do that. He has a condition in which the spinal fluid surrounds the brain, the brain does not form and he will not live more than a short time afte birth. Know that we are praying for you and for your family.
I am late in catching this... they will be in my prayers along with the whole family.
