This is good news.
Background:
At Kate's 9 month check-up on her hip displasia (DDH), Dr. Gupta (her orthopedic specialist) said her x-ray looked good. However, since she wasn't officially crawling or getting up on hands and knees yet, he wanted her to receive some physical therapy to work on the muscles to do that. (The muscles in her lower back and buttocks were kept in one position for about 3 months when she was wearing her harness last fall. That was a good position for fixing her hip displasia, but now the muscles need to catch up.) It is not a huge concern, Kate is now 9 1/2 months and she moves around more more every day. In fact, she has started rocking back and forth on her hands and knees some in just the last 3 days. If Kate had not previously had hip displasia, not crawling at 9 months would not be a concern. Our regular pediatrician (the one who found her hip displasia) was not concerned at all. But, Dr. Gupta likes to treat proactively and I am glad for that.
Update:
So, I called Infant-Toddler Services (Dr. Gupta's recommendation) and the sent a very nice lady named Susan (a caseworker) out to our home yesterday to go through paperwork with me. Althought Kate may not be the required 25% behind, since Susan knows she had hip displasia she will recommend physical therapy treatment. So next week the physical therapist should call me to set up an evaluation appointment where she will come to our home to work with Kate. Since this is a government program, there should be no cost, either. I will let you know how it goes!
PS - Kate is hitting all her other milestones well and is developing great! Super cute!

I am so glad Kate is doing well with her hip - I know she will be crawling or even walking soon!
